Titanfall, itself being a great achievement, gets everyone hyped up about Respawn entertainment’s new comeback sequel with second season for Titanfall. Titanfall was a great first person shooter and even more amazing multiplayer campaign. The shortcome that befall on Titanfall was that it lacked the single player campaign. Titanfall satiate the lack of it. The 2014’s Titanfall release entertain the Xbox one/360 and windows users, but this time the sequel is introduced to thrill PS4 users too.
The plot continues as usual, a rebellious hero up against an evil empire. Both parties continues there struggling war on various planets with various weapons and methods. The Titanfall’s remake is one of a kind. Along with awesome and all-new solo campaign, it still maintain the quality and spiritual multiplayer campaign. It requires both combat mindframe and intelligence. Wonderful non-hindered play, large enough maps and an awe-struckingly new grappling hook, is all what you need to save your planet from evil’s hand.
You, the protagonist of the game, also named as Jack Cooper, are “pilot: a specialist of some mysterious task force army and a trained operator for giant mech-bots called TITAN”. You inherited your vanguard class Titan: BT-7274 from your mentor, who dies soon after the game starts. You and your titan-buddy upholds a strong-healthy relationship throughout the game. The duo of two is dynamic yet full of sarcasm. BT sticks to its priorities of saving you (pilot) and continuing your missions. You can call forth your titan once the meter fills up. Once the titan-falls, you get the headsup with your own strategy planning and earning a badge. Each of six titans are unique on their own. They have unique abilities and weapons.
- Ronin : wields sword and have the ability to disappear from sight with its phase dash.
- Ion : surround lasers and a devastating laser core.
- Scorch : wields a fiery thermite gun and have the ability to build a feisty fire wall.
- Northstar : long range combat and timed assaults, and have the ability to launch himself up in the air.
- Tone : have a powerful 40mm canon; lock onto your foes/target from a shoulder rocket launcher and also, sports a salvo of rockets which is lethal enough to finish off a fully healed titan, if and only if, targeted precisely.
- Legion : carries a minigun, that is, both lethal and advantageous on its own.
The campaign goes simply ahead with you being transported from one mission area to another, completing object and laddering upto next level. Depending on your move of choice, you can go head-on and kill everyone brutally or you can be 47, and snap some necks; either way helps you wipe out the mission area. Or even better, you can go incognito, killing or sparing, your choice your mercy.
Titanfall 2 is best when playing at hardest and shows you the real spirit of Titanfall. The flexibility and fluidity gives off a mindblowing experience. It also keeps your brain on tabs, as it also features stages that are more likely to be called as puzzles. One do not expect the puzzles to be not-so-easy to figure to be fusioned with first person shooter, so amazingly. You have to think, strategize and move forward cautiously with both brain and brute.
Single player campaign does capture you but the multiplayer too, remains innate with just some positive improvements. Not same nor any unnecessary extra topping, just the perfect mixture is Titanfall 2. The one and only shortcome that hit me, was that its single player campaign have a short life span of approx. 5 hrs. Other than that, Titanfall is a top-notch shooter package for any gamer who is addictive to shooter genre. Titanfall 2 is a must play and definitely a good buy but with some exclusive additional offer.
